Co-Drivers have a vitally important role in the car and indeed on the whole event, coordinating the efforts of the entire team from movement schedules to service plans. Reading the pace notes back to Simon as they blast through the stages is quite a skill. It's no armchair ride either, with bumps, jumps and G-forces all putting a strain on the co-driver's neck, mind and body as he tries to keep his place in the notes and read them at the right time.
