Andrew proved his ability at the highest level over his first few seasons, winning regional championships outright, finishing second in his class in the ANCRO National Championship at the first attempt and being selected by the Motor Sport Association UK for the 'Fit to be Champion' scholarship.

Following a break of several seasons due to lack of funds, Andrew and co-driver Dan Pearce were honoured to be selected by the French MSA to represent Great Britain in the international Dakar Challenge, where judges from NISMO, BF Goodrich and Eurosport placed them in 2nd overall among a field of the cream of international rally talent, narrowly missing out on a drive on the 'Dakar.'
